Heather is away at girls camp this week (as one of the leaders) and as part of the fun and games they will have planned up there, Heather packed up her life-size cutout of Edward that I got for her.

He has spent the past 6 or so months camped out in the corner of our room and to be honest with you now that he's gone, it's a little strange not seeing him there. I am still alive—just very busy with this thing called life.

2. I have officially started reading Breaking Dawn. I am about 250 pages into it. Not too bad, so far. I have hopes for it to end well (of course, I know it will end well from what Heather has told me).

Anyways, life's calling again, so off I go.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-81261791787615822872009-03-03T01:32:00.002-07:002009-03-03T01:36:48.669-07:00Supporting Those We Love(All, this is a copy of a post from http://www.supportstepheniemeyer.blogspot.com—please enjoy this post and check out the new blog)

Dear fans,

Let me preface this post with a sincere thank you to all of the many Stephenie Meyer and Twilight fans who have joined us in supporting the cause of supporting her in all her endeavors, no matter what they are. We are over 1,350 supporters deep and the names are still coming in. We sincerely appreciate all of the thoughts and comments that you have made since we went live with this blog. YOU are amazing—don't let anyone tell you different.

Now, onto the purpose of this post.

Ask yourself this question. What do you do when you've read the Twilight series several times and seen the movie at least as many times. How do you pass the time while waiting for the next Twilight book or movie to come out? You could re-read the series again, sure. But, why not spend your time with another obsession? Another obsession? Is there such a thing among Twi-hards? Sure there is—and for one fan, It's a small television show called American Idol.

Before my wife was addicted to Twilight, there was (and still very much is) American Idol. She has watched every season since the beginning. If anything, she is the ultimate American Idol fan—at least in my eyes. So, while she waits for the release of the next Twilight film (which is going to rock) she spends her free time blogging (among other things). She is now what I would call a seasoned blogger, even though she's only been doing it for less than a year. One of her latest blogs is following this season of American Idol. You can read what she has to say here: http://www.followingamericanidol.blogspot.com. I support my wife's American Idol addiction as much as I support her Twilight addiction, and because I support her in this, I feel the need to share her passion with everyone I can.

If you can pull yourself away from your tattered, torn and tear-stained copy of Twilight, I would encourage you to check out Following American Idol and support my wife in her latest blogging adventure. Follow American Idol through the eyes and emotions of the biggest fan that I know of, my wife, Heather.

Thanks for your support.

P.S. Did I mention that Heather has a life-size cardboard cutout of Edward in our room? He likes American Idol. too...

JeremyJeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-80092065378980498692008-10-13T13:30:00.003-06:002008-10-13T13:31:39.418-06:00Can You Feel the Excitement? This is the newest trailer for Twilight due out Nov. 21. I have meant to, honest, it's just that the past 3-4 weeks, possibly longer, have been pure and utter chaos. With the Heritage Makers convention in Anaheim, a gall bladder attack and 4 days in the happiest place on earth (Disneyland, of course) I haven't had time to breath.

With that said, I am hoping to start it soon—does anyone know if there is a way to get a few more hours out of a day?Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-2844595671595880702008-09-08T14:17:00.002-06:002008-09-08T14:21:51.284-06:00Eclipse: Epilogue ChoiceI will be starting Breaking Dawn either tonight or tomorrow on the ride to work. I have to say that Eclipse has been my favorite of the three, but I also liked the first one a lot. What a great series.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-61620190123950209942008-09-04T00:37:00.003-06:002008-09-04T00:40:31.726-06:00This blog has not been forgotten, I promise...I have not forgotten about this blog and I will not neglect it. It's just that work is totally crazy right now and I need to figure out how to squeeze a few more ours out of the day...

With that said, here's a quick update. I am still not done with Eclipse. Edward and Jacob are talking in the tent during the storm... The Support SM site is doing well, we added another 30 names to the list tonight, bringing the total to 1,083. That's about it for now. More to come soon, I promise.
Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-26225800564492696342008-08-27T15:16:00.002-06:002008-08-27T15:20:05.586-06:00I am almost done with Eclipse...Even with work being crazy busy, both for Heritage Makers and freelance, and with an unexpected trip to San Jose for a funeral—I have still managed to find the time to read in what is turning out to be the best book of the Twilight series (calm down, I still haven't read Breaking Dawn). Most of my reading happens during the commute to and from work (I carpool in a van, for those of you who might worry that I am crazy enough to read and drive).

Anyways...more work to do.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-49204435782117168332008-08-23T23:52:00.002-06:002008-08-24T00:00:31.085-06:00Show your support for Stephenie MeyerOkay, for those of you who don't know, I (with some prodding from some fellow Twi-hards) have started a blog where you can list your name (send first and last name, plus state where you live—outside the US send country—to supportstepheniemeyer@gmail.com) in support of Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight series.

http://www.supportstepheniemeyer.blogspot.com

Apparently, there is a SM fan who is upset with the way Breaking Dawn ended and is now telling people to return their copies and damage SM and her reputation as a writer. While I have not yet read Breaking Dawn (half way through Eclipse) I can't imagine not liking it to the point that I would consider returning it to the store. That seems to be something you would do with a pair of jeans you thought you could squeeze into—only to discover that you couldn't. Anyways...

Check out the blog and send in your name to show your support for SM.

Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-55094267937597755842008-08-22T00:50:00.003-06:002008-08-22T00:58:41.049-06:00New Twilight-inspired ad for Volvo

Okay, so I think this would totally be an awesome billboard or ad to see somewhere. It was my year to plan what we were doing. Neither of us mentioned anything about the day until Heather called me in the early afternoon hours to casually mention Happy Anniversary. I feigned like I had sort of forgot that it was our anniversary, trying to set the stage for my plans. I am still not sure if she bought it 100%. I like to try and surprise Heather with things like this—like the time I surprised her with a pink iPod shuffle for Valentines Day—she had no idea on that one.

So, I got her roses, of course—seems to be one of the safe things to get for an anniversary. But the real gift was—and this is where Twilight comes in—a home-made card and 4 bookmarks (one for each of her Stephenie Meyer Twilight novels). First, the bookmarks. They are double-sided and laminated. Here's what they looked like:

Now, for the card. It's hard to explain how it folds, but some of you might get the idea. It's in three panels, and when opened it has a zig-zag shape to it. That's not really what's important, though. It's what's on the card—the message—that is what's important. See for yourself:

And the best part about it is she loved it. I am just about to start chapter 16 in New Moon. Heather said that it's going to be getting better. She warned me that soon, it will be really hard to put the book down. I have to say, though, that this book has not been as hard to read as a lot of people have made it out to be—even with Edward gone (maybe that's cause I know he's coming back). Anyways...

I need to do a little work before I read more...
Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-27410828215633465982008-08-09T23:26:00.000-06:002008-08-09T23:42:18.139-06:00The first Twilight wallpaper is here...

From time to time I like to mix it up with how my computer looks—well, at least what image is on the screen(s). Here is the what's now on the home computer. Still not sure if this is the final phrase that I want on it, but that's the nice thing about Photoshop. I can change it anytime.

Feel free to download this image and use it as your own. This file is ideal for 1920x1200 screen resolution. I will try and get a few different sizes up, for those of you who may need a different size for your screen. Not good. I hate Edward for leaving Bella, and I am not happy about Bella rebounding to Jacob (sorry to all the Jacob fans out there, but Bella is rebounding to him, and hard).

I think it's a good thing that I know from talking with Heather when she read the series that Edward comes back in New Moon. If I didn't know he was coming back I think I might be a little bit of a wreck. Yeah, go ahead and laugh.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-40985464424419216532008-08-07T08:30:00.000-06:002008-08-07T08:54:21.686-06:00I finished Twilight!Well, after waiting for what seemed like an eternity for the CDs to become available from the library and having a friend (Gina) send me a DVD with all three books on it, I can say I have finally been able to partake in what pre-teens, teens and moms with kids have experienced with the Twilight story. And here's the kicker—I never listened to the book. I read it.

I think I was spoiled with listening to the whole Harry Potter series read by Jim Dale. If any of you have had the chance to listen to them, you know what I am talking about. Jim Dale is phenomenal. Truly a wonder to listen to. The lady who read the Twilight series was a little less than that. Ah, who am I kidding—she was awful to listen to. With that said...

I loved the story of Twilight. Loved it. I see how this can turn into an obsession for some readers... for most readers. It took me about a week to read, here and there at night and to and from work (don't worry, I am not reading while driving—I am part of a ride-share carpool). I actually finished it this morning and have started reading the first chapter of New Moon that's in the back of Twilight. I am interested to see if this next book pulls me in like Twilight did. I'll keep you posted.

And, for all the guys out there that haven't read Twilight—you really don't know what you're missing. You really don't.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-6247025910485498622008-08-02T19:52:00.000-06:002008-08-02T19:57:11.759-06:00Breaking DawnWell, Heather has had her copy of Breaking Dawn now for almost 24 hours and is half-way through it. After picking up her copy last night at Barnes & Nobel shortly after midnight she read until around 3am and then went to bed. When the kids woke up at their usual time of 6:30, I took them downstairs and let Heather sleep. She woke up around 9:30 and went straight to reading Breaking Dawn again. Anyways, it's almost 8:00 pm and Heather's back to reading. I am "watching" the kids—they are being entertained by a movie until they are ready for bed. Fun.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-64977224807205079602008-07-30T00:48:00.000-06:002008-07-30T00:52:59.647-06:00I'm still here...Well, I have sort of been busy with doing stuff that pays the bills and have neglected this blog. Many apologies. I am pleased to announce that Heather is getting excited with the release of Breaking Dawn just days away. She is planning on reading this entire weekend and hoped to be able to finish it before Monday—knowing her, it shouldn't be that hard for her to do.

I am going to be posting some wallpapers that I have created using images from the latest teaser trailer for the Twilight movie that was released a week or so ago. Not sure what sizes I will be offering, but they will be free and I would love any feedback on them when I get them up.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-39456581340721402302008-06-07T11:30:00.000-06:002008-06-07T11:34:37.360-06:00Follow up: Something you won't see...I don't want anyone to think I am bitter, angry or anything like towards Stephenie or Seth. I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to take a great and well visited site and make it better. I just don't understand.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348873969024665253.post-87457378304162622562008-06-06T22:35:00.000-06:002008-06-07T02:23:07.295-06:00Something you won't see...Well, I have closed the poll early I had added to this blog. According to the overwhelming number of votes I received (a grand total of 2) it looks like people would like to see a new design for stepheniemeyer.com.

While it is primarily an information site, I still feel very strongly that it could use an update—especially with the release of Breaking Dawn and Twilight the movie just around the corner. I have been trading emails with Seth Meyer, Stephenie's little brother, who is the webmaster for the site over the past few weeks to see if it would be possible to help him with getting a new and updated look for the site. I offered to do the design work for free. No charge. I have some extra time on my hands between freelance projects and work—plus, I am a huge work-a-holic—my wife can attest to this. Here's the kicker—Seth says that Stephenie has no interest at all in changing the way the site is. Huh? Are you kidding? It's like having a car, it gets you from point A to B, the paint's a little dated and the leather's a tad faded and cracking, and there are definitely some miles on it—but it's a good car. Then, out of the blue, someone offers to do a lot of work on the car—new engine, new paint, new interior—the works—all for free, no strings attached. What do you do? Do you stay with the old car or do you take a chance on the "to good to be true" new car offer? Below is a sample of one of the few pages I put together for Seth.

Maybe enough people will read this and agree with me. Maybe Stephenie will change her mind. Maybe.Jeremy Englishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11145096195641376679noreply@blogger.com2
